ANDY HARVEY

Andy Harvey has worked in the field of EAL for over 20 years and was the deputy head of the Hounslow EAL Team. His key role for the last 14 years was leading the professional development of the team of 100 EAL specialists. Andy was also responsible for delivering a range of consultancy and training activities across London for London Challenge. He regularly contributed to developing teaching programmes for new arrivals and refugees. In his work for HLS Ltd, Andy provides Certificated EAL training such as our poplar LILAC courses (Language in Learning across the Curriculum). This year, he has delivered conferences, seminars and school-based workshops across the country on a wide range of EAL and language issues. In the last 3 years, Andy has delivered training in a number of universities and colleges both here and abroad. He has led training in Turkey, India, China, Namibia and Singapore and is constantly creating new materials and courses at the cutting edge of our specialist work. He has also recently been involved in training teachers from across Europe through the CLIL programme.
