REHANA AHMAD
Managing Director, Language/EAL Consultant
Rehana Ahmed joined HLS Ltd after being Head of Hounslow Language Service and has worked in the field of EAL for 20 years. She co-ordinated the EAL training programme delivered across London for London Challenge and has delivered seminars, workshops and conferences across the country on the full range of EAL issues, including EAL and ICT. She has also been involved in training teachers through the European CLIL programme.
Her head of service role also prepared Rehana for her work with our clients in a consultant capacity. She is experienced at conducting school EAL audits, advising on preparation for OFSTED relating to EAL provision and at developing whole school policies. Rehana works in partnership with school SLTs to plan EAL CPD and teaching programmes. She has contributed to a range of professional publications and has produced EAL and multilingual teaching materials for students at all Key Stages. Rehana supports schools in setting up effective EAL provision, delivering EAL CPD and raising the achievement of EAL pupils.
